A 22-story tower given a new envelope instead of being replaced.
The renovation of the former Monty’s building, a 22-story, 314,000-square-foot tower in Westwood Village, stripped its heavy precast spandrels and rebuilt the envelope in layered glass and horizontal sunshades.
A cantilevered crown now caps the tower, and an illuminated retail colonnade runs along its base.
