An interior street closed and remade as a park.

Runway’s interior public street, on the Playa Vista site where Howard Hughes once headquartered his aviation business, becomes a pedestrian park. Closing it took extensive coordination with the Los Angeles City Fire Department to keep emergency access and code compliance.

The exterior renovation also replaced the wayfinding, reconfigured the parking structure for the new circulation, and upgraded facades throughout. Serrao Architecture was Architect of Record, with landscape architects and graphic designers.
