A nine-story building fills a full city block in San Diego’s Gaslamp District, with ground-floor retail and restaurants under five levels of apartments and townhomes around a central courtyard.
The block shifts character end to end. Phase 1 (120 units, 41,000 square feet of retail, 322 parking spaces) takes the district’s corniced, columned language; Phase 2 (103 units, 318 spaces) carries its brick, glass, and metal into simpler forms.
